Flavor Profile

Colombia - El Puente presents an elevated, approachable, and well-rounded flavor experience. Layers of cola and chocolate are complemented by a smooth caramel sweetness, while a velvety mouthfeel enhances the overall complexity of the cup. The addition of just a touch of citrus adds vibrance and liveliness to the cup, making each sip both rich and refreshing.

The El Puente Project

El Puente (The Bridge) is a project that serves as a crucial connection between smallholder producers in Huila and the global specialty coffee market. Developed by Aromas del Sur and Clearpath Coffee, the facility provides essential post-harvest infrastructure and market access to local farmers, allowing them to focus on growing quality coffee. By purchasing freshly harvested cherries at a price equivalent to dried coffee, El Puente supports sustainable practices and reduces financial stress for farmers during the harvest season, while promoting innovative post-harvest processing techniques.

Huila’s Coffee Legacy

Nestled in the lush Andes of southern Colombia, the Huila region is celebrated for its rich volcanic soil, diverse microclimates, and centuries-old coffee traditions. With a focus on selective manual harvesting and quality-centric post-harvest practices, Huila’s smallholder farmers produce coffees that are both unique and highly sought after. The region’s commitment to excellence and innovation has solidified its reputation as one of Colombia’s premier coffee-growing areas, offering vibrant and expressive flavor profiles.
