Coffee Story

We understand – an espresso shot can be quite intense. The combination of an extra-fine grind, high-pressure extraction, and a petite ~2oz beverage delivers an exceptionally concentrated flavor experience. For those who find lighter roasts and contemporary blends overwhelming in espresso, we introduce Plateau.

Plateau pays homage to the timeless tradition of darker espresso roasts, boasting rich chocolate notes and a luxurious, viscous body. However, we infuse a modern twist by using 100% specialty-grade Arabica beans and employing a slightly gentler roast profile. This approach highlights the unique terroir and high quality of our coffee.

Smooth and rich

Online coffee

Coffee review: plateau coffee, since it’s a darker roast I decided to go with 180 degree Fahrenheit for water. I had to grind quite coarse, I tried a 1/3 ratio a 1/2 ratio and a 1/1 ratio. 18 grams in 18 grams out was the best tasting. The aroma went from sweet down to bitter but not sour. I can consistently had this as a milk based drink, and hardly ever had to add flavoring to mask bitterness. The notes were chocolate and nutty, and it was very delightful. I do recommend this espresso blend for dark roasted coffee lovers.

Good, but wouldn't describe as "bold, heavy, rich"

I was hoping for a stronger brew based on the description. I used for a pour-over the same way I always brew my coffee, but found it lacked the body and depth I was looking for. I might try a darker roast from Freeform, but probably wouldn't buy this specific blend again.

The Plateau Espresso Blend is a new favorite from Free Form coffee. Smooth, yet tasty. Medium roast but bold. Thumbs up Free Form!

Excellent coffee

Freeform coffee roasters make the best coffee. All there flavors I had so far are delicious but this is my favorite. As described and smooth for an expresso bean.
